[sticky entry] Sticky: Introduction Post!

Hello, my name is Selma! I was born on Christmas Eve in 1996. I'm from Tunisia. I'm a filmmaker, musician and singer/songwriter, but I also love writing, drawing and graphic art. I'm a cat lover, a book lover, a cheese lover. I'm an astrophile, a thalassophile, a pluviophile. I love dragons and penguins. I'm Infinitely Weak for periwinkles and lavenders.

I have a lot of different fandoms, and I think it would be silly to list them all, but here are the major ones (you know, the ones that I come back to no matter what, we all have them):
  • Star Trek (TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY)
  • Sherlock Holmes (all media, but mostly the books, Ritchieverse and Elementary)
  • X-Men (the first trilogy, xmfc, xmdofp, etc...)
  • Harry Potter (books and movies, including Fantastic Beasts)
  • P. G. Wodehouse (the Jeeves stories, also includes the television series "Jeeves & Wooster")
I absolutely adore the sitcom Frasier, and I'm also obsessed with Brooklyn 99. I'm a huge Disney fan. When it comes to music, my favorite artists are Michael Jackson, MIKA and The Weepies.

I think that's about all you need to know about me! Thank you for dropping by!
Have a wonderful day ~

The truth is, I enjoyed the event so much that I didn't mind staying up late to finish on time. Everyone in this comm is so talented, and so supportive, and I've enjoyed reading your stories as much as I've enjoyed writing my own. I'm sad that it's over, and I can't wait for next year!

Title: The Demand of Man.
Author:
[personal profile] thesadchicken
Rating: G.
Universe: ACD.
Characters: John Watson, Sherlock Holmes.
Summary: After a case, Holmes shares a terrible truth with Watson.

Word Count: 100.

Prompt: Musical Chairs!

When I came home, he was plucking savagely at his violin. I frowned, fearing he’d succumbed to one of his terrible moods. But the expression on his face was that of profound  disgust. I watched  as he reached for his bow, sending a tragic melody into the air with violent motions. When he set his instrument down, he was breathless.

‘Holmes?’

His eyes finally focused on me, and he said, ‘There are crimes, Watson, that one can only see to believe. Greed is a monstrous thing. The world has never known more terrible a plight than the demand of man.’
